C-WINS Advocacy Brief to CCN

The Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) Secretariat recently hosted a significant courtesy visit from the Center for Well-being Integrated Nutrition Solutions (C-WINS Advocacy Brief to CCN), marking a key step toward renewed health advocacy efforts.

The visit was specifically tagged as an ‘Advocacy Brief to CCN,’ aiming to leverage the Council’s extensive network for crucial public health campaigns.

A Call for Collaboration on Public Health

The primary objective of the C-WINS delegation, led by Dr. Mabogunge, was to utilize the CCN’s platforms to spearhead advocacies regarding Measles Rubella (MR).

Despite Measles Rubella being present in Nigeria for over fifty years, C-WINS highlighted the lack of public discourse and awareness surrounding the disease.

The group also formally sought collaboration with the CCN for future initiatives, including the high-profile CCN General Assembly scheduled for November.

Dr. Mabogunge expressed the group’s profound happiness and gratitude for the immediate hand of fellowship extended by the CCN leadership.

Responding to the delegation, the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Nigeria, Rt. Rev. Dr. Evans Onyemara, praised C-WINS for their dedication to such a vital, yet overlooked, public health issue.

General Secretary’s Response:

C-WINS Advocacy Brief to CCN

“We are deeply appreciative that C-WINS chose the Christian Council of Nigeria as a primary partner in this urgent cause.

Measles Rubella advocacy is a mission that aligns perfectly with our commitment to the well-being of all Nigerians.

I assure you that we will integrate this critical advocacy into our communication channels and actively seek collaboration opportunities, including during our forthcoming General Assembly in November.

You have our full commitment to ensuring the fruitfulness of this partnership.

“The CCN looks forward to working hand-in-hand with C-WINS to raise awareness and promote necessary interventions against Measles Rubella across the nation.
