In a spirit of collaboration and renewed vision, members of the Editorial Board & Media Team of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) held a strategic meeting with the General Secretary, Rt. Rev. M. Evans Onyemara, PhD, at the CCN Headquarters in Abuja.
The high-level session, which focused on preparations for the maiden publication of the CCN News Magazine ahead of the forthcoming General Assembly, underscored the Council’s renewed commitment to effective communication, digital transformation, and strategic media engagement.
Charting a New Course for CCN Media Presence
Opening the session, Rt. Rev. Dr. M. Evans Onyemara, who has continued to strengthen the administrative and public visibility of the Council, commended the editorial team for their dedication and professionalism. He emphasized the importance of a strong, unified communication structure that reflects the Council’s mission of faith, unity, and service.
“Our media voice must speak truth with grace, inspire unity among the churches, and project the transformative witness of the Christian Council of Nigeria,” he said.
The General Secretary further highlighted the role of media in strengthening ecumenical collaboration and in documenting the ongoing impact of the Council across the nation.
Meet the CCN Editorial and Media Team
The meeting brought together a dynamic team of experienced communicators and media strategists:
Together, the team reviewed key content directions, editorial guidelines, and publication schedules for the Council’s next edition, which will feature reports, reflections, and highlights from across CCN’s zones and partner organizations.
Focus: The CCN News Magazine Publication
Discussions centered on the upcoming CCN General Assembly, where the official edition of the CCN News Magazine will be unveiled. The publication will serve as an informative and inspirational resource, showcasing the Council’s work in advocacy, peacebuilding, ecumenical engagement, youth development, and social witness.
The team also harmonized content themes, design templates, and feature stories to ensure the magazine aligns with the Council’s mission and resonates with its diverse Christian audience across Nigeria.
A Shared Vision for Impact
The meeting concluded on a note of shared enthusiasm and spiritual purpose, with participants reaffirming their commitment to excellence in content creation, storytelling, and media representation.
