In a warm and inspiring show of unity and commitment, members of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) 6th Area Council of FCT, Abuja, paid a courtesy visit today to the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Nigeria, His Lordship, Rt. Rev. M. Evans Onyemara, PhD, at the CCN Headquarters, Abuja.

The delegation, led by Rev. Solomon A. Adeyemo, Coordinator of the CCN 6th Area Council, visited to officially welcome the General Secretary following his relocation to Abuja and to reaffirm their readiness to serve, support, and work closely with him in advancing the vision and mission of the Council.

It will be recalled that the headquarters of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) was recently relocated from Lagos to Abuja, a strategic move aimed at strengthening the Council’s national presence and administrative coordination at the heart of Nigeria’s capital.

In his address, Rev. Adeyemo expressed the group’s appreciation for the General Secretary’s approachable leadership style and his commitment to an open, inclusive, and responsive administration. He noted that the visit was also intended to strengthen collaboration and improve accessibility between the General Secretary’s office and CCN members within the FCT, particularly those from Bwari, Kwali, Gwagwalada, and other area councils.

Other members of the delegation included Elder Adajo Abiodu Reuben, Secretary of CCN-AMAC; Rev. Fredrick U. Okporie of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria; Rev. Deji Oyelami of Gwagwalada Group; and Akambi Olu Zaccheaus.

The delegation emphasized the need for greater sensitization and mobilization of members across the Council’s area networks to strengthen CCN’s presence and impact within the Federal Capital Territory.

They also hinted at a planned thank-you visit to Bishop S.T.V. Adegbite, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, acknowledging his unwavering support and contributions to the growth of the Christian Council of Nigeria.

In his response, Rt. Rev. Dr. Onyemara expressed heartfelt appreciation for the visit and commended the delegation for their commitment to the cause of the Council. He reaffirmed his dedication to collaborative leadership, emphasizing that “CCN’s strength lies in unity, participation, and shared vision among its members.”

The atmosphere was warm and brotherly as prayers were offered for the General Secretary, the Council’s leadership, and the continued growth of the Church in Nigeria
