Christian Council of Nigeria Empowers 50 in Plateau with Climate-Smart Agriculture

Changing Life Story!

Christian Council of Nigeria proudly celebrated the graduation of 50 project participants (men, women and girls) from Heipang and Gwol communities (Barkin-Ladi LGA) trained in Climate-Smart Agriculture and Briquettes making with support from Christian Aid in Nigeria.

Equipped with starter packs which include Manual Briquette Machine, Sachet Bags Material, Seedlings and other farming implements to kick start their journey to self reliance.

All project participants were also trained on Financial Literacy at the same time formed a Village Savings and Loan Association (VSAL) to support each others growth for sustainability.

To our supporting partner Christian Aid in Nigeria we are grateful for changing the narrative of these vulnerable communities in Barkin-Ladi LGA.

A component of the PRIn Project led by Christian Council of Nigeria together with JDPC Jos and WOCCAI Nigeria as a step towards reducing poverty and promoting wealth creation in communities affected by crisis in Plateau State.
