Empowering Resilience: CCN Hosts Learning & Reflection Meeting on Climate Risk and Livelihoods

The Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), as part of the Plateau Resilience Initiative (PRIn) consortium, recently hosted a successful One-Day Learning and Reflection Meeting. This gathering brought together project beneficiaries and stakeholders to tackle two of the most pressing challenges facing our communities today: Climate Risk Management and Sustainable Livelihoods.

Building Financial Independence through Innovation

The core mission of the PRIn Project is to foster strong financial independence. By equipping beneficiaries with basic skills in Climate Adaptation, the activity enhances their ability to thrive despite environmental shifts.

The sessions focused on:

• Smart Agriculture: Techniques to ensure food security in a changing climate.
• Livelihood Management: Practical strategies for economic stability.
• Shared Learning: Beneficiaries reflected on current challenges and collaborated on innovative “way forward” strategies.

Expert-Led Empowerment

To ensure the highest quality of training, the meeting featured an inclusive approach led by:

1. NIMET Resource Persons: Providing data-driven insights into climate patterns and risk mitigation.
2. Livelihood Experts: Offering hands-on training in Baking and Pastries, providing a tangible path to diversified income.
