“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”
— Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)
There are seasons when faith feels fragile. Prayers seem delayed, circumstances shift unexpectedly, and emotions fluctuate between confidence and concern. In such moments, believers may quietly ask, “Am I still standing firm?”
Scripture does not deny that emotions rise and fall. Instead, it calls us to hold fast—to anchor our faith not in feelings, but in the faithfulness of God. Hebrews 10:23 reminds us that our stability does not depend on our emotional consistency but on God’s unchanging promise.
Faith becomes resilient when it rests on who God is rather than what we see. Even when emotions tremble, God remains steady. Even when situations are uncertain, His promises are sure. To “hold fast” means refusing to release confidence in God’s character, regardless of temporary storms.
Today, if your faith feels fragile, do not let go. The One who made the promise is faithful. What He has spoken, He will fulfill.
Faithful Father, when my emotions fluctuate, anchor my heart in Your unchanging truth. Teach me to hold fast to my confession of faith without wavering. Remind me that You are faithful to every promise You have spoken. I choose to trust You beyond what I feel or see. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I hold fast to my faith today. My confidence rests not in circumstances, but in the faithfulness of God. He who promised is faithful, and I will not waver.
